A Striking Vista

Satellite Exhibit Model, 20″ × 10″ × 8.5″ @ 1:12 scale

A model for a fictional exhibition that would be located at Dilworth Park in Philadelphia to attract tourists and residents alike to visit the nearby Barnes Foundation. The design of the exhibit was meant to reflect the monolithic slabs of granite that make up the architecture of the Barnes Foundation, as well as Albert Barnes’ “ensembles” of work that he hung in the original galleries, especially the symmetry of his compositions.
